Delete your account and data

This page explains how to have your CardFolio account and its associated data deleted. It applies to the app CardFolio (com.fknworkhorse.cardfolio), published by André Baum (address in the Legal Notice).

Option 1: inside the app

1. Open CardFolio and sign in.
2. Go to Settings.
3. Scroll to the Account section at the bottom.
4. Tap Delete account and confirm.

Deletion happens immediately. There is no separate confirmation email, because by then the account is already gone.

Option 2: by email

If you no longer have access to the app or to your account, write to:

Subject: CardFolio account deletion. Please write from the email address you registered with — that is how we identify the account without asking you for further personal details. We delete within 30 days and confirm once done.

What gets deleted

Deleting the account removes:

• Account data: email address, display name, language preference, user identifier
• Collection data: the cards you recorded, your collections and their assignments, including purchase prices, purchase dates and notes
• Wishlist, including any target prices you set
• Sealed products and their purchase data
• Value history of your portfolio
• Notification data: push token, notification settings, triggered events
• Community data: profile, profile picture, contacts, requests sent and received
• Scan training data: if you had consented, also the stored scan photos and the associated card labels, including the image files in object storage
• Scan log and quota counters

Deletion is complete — no anonymised remainder is kept.

What is not deleted, or not immediately

• Subscription and purchase data at Apple or Google: these sit with the respective app store under its own retention periods and privacy policy. We cannot delete them.
• Invoicing and accounting records, where we are required to retain them under commercial and tax law (generally up to 10 years under § 147 AO, § 257 HGB). Such data is blocked from app use and kept solely for that purpose.
• The CardFolio-related record at RevenueCat is triggered for deletion at the same time; if that fails technically, we follow up.

Important: your subscription does not end automatically

Deleting your account does not cancel a subscription bought through an app store. Cancel CardFolio Pro separately in your store's subscription management, or it will keep renewing.

Other rights

Besides erasure (Art. 17 GDPR) you have the rights of access, rectification, restriction, data portability, objection, and withdrawal of consent. Details are in the privacy policy; for any of these, reach us at the email address above.
